Description
Grant Support for Courses with Research-Intensive Designation
In an effort to support faculty teaching courses designated as Research Intensive (RI), the Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry (OURI), is providing support to faculty in this pilot program. Faculty teaching RI designated courses can choose either of the two categories of support:

Graduate student personnel support through the Graduate Research Consultant (GRC) program

RI designated course faculty may apply for a Graduate Research Consultant (GRC) to work with the instructor and students during the course. GRCs are advanced graduate students (or upper division undergraduates) who are active researchers and scholars in their disciplines. The role of the GRC is to guide, coach and advise the undergraduate researchers as they complete their research project within the course. Note: GRCs are not Teaching assistants and should not be responsible for grading course materials. GRC stipends are $750 per course.

Materials and course-enhancement expense support.

RI designated course faculty may request funding for materials and expenses necessary to implement the research and inquiry projects into their courses. Faculty can request up to $750 per course for materials and course-enhancement.
